The simple way in which you can decorate your wall and yet create an immense visual impact is to cover with stucco, plaster or to have it trowelled. Only professional people can attain stucco swirls without much trouble. However, the result should be a dream on areas of the wall with an ideal setting along with stylish color and texture.
Walls are considered to be very private and you will be surprised to discover that inside the same interior, various modern wall d้cor plans can do well together. Do note the following points:
- Stripes: You can generate visual attention by using slanted, vertical or horizontal stripes. Take an illustration. Narrow vertical stripes can make the room look longer whereas broad stripes can make the ceiling of the room look lower than it actually is.
- Cladding: You can make your wall look inviting and reflect light in various exciting ways by using substances such as metal, wood and fabric.
- Paint: You can create your own personal statement by using solid color or having some special paint effects or drawing frescoes on it.
- Wallpaper: You can produce a chimera and at the same time you can hide the cracks on the wall by opting for wallpapers, be it modern vinyl, costly specialty wallpaper or conventional wallpaper.
- Tiles: Use tiles on your wall in order to prevent wear and tear due to heat and water exposure. I would suggest that you use tiles on the full wall in order to enhance the room’s look and dimension.
- Stone: Nowadays stones are very ‘in’ in the decoration of the walls although most interior designers would have a liking for textures that are wide-ranging.
- Tapestries: The placement of tapestries in a room can really bring out the color of your furniture, floor, or walls. By choosing a tapestry that matches at least one piece of your decor, you can really liven up a room. Tapestries are also a good conversation piece for when you have guests over.
